by by Bjorn Franke "Traces of an Imaginary Affair" is a kit containing a set of nine tools which can be used to create an imaginary affair. These tools leave marks on the body, such as bite marks, carpet burns, bondage marks, love bites, scratches and bruises. In addition, probes of perfume, lipstick and hair can be applied to either the body or clothes. The project broaches the issue of intentionally instigated jealousy in relationships, which often serves to bolster self-esteem or to test the strength of partnerships. It was inspired by stories of people who used fake evidence of victimisation or illnesses to receive attention from others."
"Le sang des betes" in french means "the beasts' (or the animals') blood). "Looking at Trang Chau's designs makes me want to fast forward to the future. Her label, dubbed Le Sang des Betes, is filled with experimental pieces that remind me of sci-fi superheroes. With her debut collection, Aborigine, Chau draws inspiration from sculpture, film, architecture, and costume design, creating an intriguing collection of Gothic-meets-modern marvels. Not only are her insect-like cuts refreshing and innovative, but they're also sustainable. This conscious designer sources all of her materials from LA."
Her profile is cute and funny: "Hi! I live in the city of Montreal, in Quebec, Canada. I can't picture myself doing anything else, I just love my job! And my husband, my 5 cats, my numerous pairs of eyeglasses (who's counting!), purses...I think I'll stop there! I love cheese too...and coffee cups :P I get inspired by, well everything! A color, a song, a glass of milk..."
"There is so much going on in Johanne Kappel's collection, but somehow there is the perfect balance between the smaller digital prints, the larger pastel prints, and the simpler speckled and hand painted work. Some of the prints have a really graphic quality, which contrasts well with the sheen of the Lycra bodysuits. Influenced by the winged creatures Johanne created billowing sleeves and used metres of gathered fabric to make dramatic billowing silhouettes over the skin-tight cat suits, in line with the emerging trend for all things A-line. Johanne has been selected as a finalist in ITS Eight (International Talent Support) taking place in July,"
Onion style fashion news to be found on WorldWide WomensWear Digest (WWWWD) "Farewell My Friend" A poem by Agyness Deyn What though the radiance that was once so bright Be now forever taken from my sight Though Beatrice has closed and will not be reopened Not one word of regret from the bathroom stall was spoken. Where shall drink with Ashley and MK Weep I shall all night and all day. I would eat eat if I could, but have never been able All I seek is a roped-off private table. Oh saddens you bitch, you vixen, your stare is so stony. But it's warm compared to that of Naomi. Almost as painful as sun on my skin. Oh what a cruel world, without my sweet Inn

by Joo Youn Paek The Zipper Orchestra is an interactive video installation that combines a combination of the Zipper Canvas as a physical controller and the Zipper Collage Video as a musical display. Users can play music by zipping and unzipping the physical zippers. The screen is a fashion collage, filled with nine video clips of different people zipping and unzipping their clothes. By moving nine sub zippers and one main zipper attached to a canvas, users can control the individual zipper motions on the screen as a conductor. The main long zipper will control nine motions all together. Playing Zipper Orchestra enables users to create acoustic and visual harmony with others, and experience openly sensual feelings.
